RESIDENTIAL
RENO MI

RICHMOND HILL PROJECT MI explores a refined interpretation of transitional design, where contemporary clarity is balanced with timeless warmth through the use of natural materials and restrained detailing. The project is conceived to amplify a sense of sophistication while maintaining a calm, lived-in atmosphere, achieved through a carefully curated material palette and cohesive spatial composition.

Oak wood is used extensively as the primary material, celebrated for its natural grain and warmth, and serves as a unifying element throughout the interior. Its presence softens the architecture and establishes a tactile connection between spaces, counterbalancing the depth of the darker flooring. A beige-based color palette is introduced to offset this contrast, allowing light to diffuse evenly while enhancing the overall sense of openness and visual comfort.

The living room becomes the emotional core of the home, anchored by a custom millwork bookcase designed as both a functional and architectural feature. Beyond providing generous storage, the millwork frames a quiet study area, creating a layered domestic experience that supports reading, reflection, and daily rituals. This integration of utility and intimacy reflects the project’s broader design philosophy—where form and function coexist seamlessly without visual excess.

Through thoughtful material layering, balanced tonal contrasts, and bespoke detailing, RICHMOND HILL PROJECT MI redefines transitional living as an elegant yet approachable interior, offering a timeless residential environment that responds to both aesthetic refinement and everyday life.
